The Golden State Warriors faced a lot of challenges this season. The players dealt with injuries and the lack of development of some players, specifically James Wiseman.

He was in the development league but did not show any improvement as such. This is a matter of concern for the Warriors. Another player in the development league was Jordan Poole, but he is doing well with the team. Unlike Wiseman, he could not improve and keep up with the team’s hopes. The 21-year-old is yet to show what he is capable of since he was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick. The Warriors have not flourished so far; they are in 6th place in the Western Conference.

Fox Sports’ Ric Bucher asserted that the Warriors might get frustrated with this.

“The Warriors, a league source said, have indicated in conversations with other teams that the development of third-year center James Wiseman is not aligning with their hopes of squeezing another championship from the core of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.”

The team says that Wiseman is not able to “align with their hopes.”

Wiseman was thought to be a young potential asset for the team, but he failed to prove himself. He averaged 11.5 points in 39 games and later missed an entire season due to a knee injury. This broke the team’s expectations of Wiseman, and he is on the edge of exile.

“The Warriors’ willingness to move Wiseman appears to be two-fold, an Eastern Conference GM said: he isn’t ready to help them win a title, and they feel they’re doing him a disservice because he needs playing time to develop.”

Many think that the player can still perform well and has a lot to achieve, but it seems like the Warriors don’t have time to let him improve and work on his development.

James Wiseman and the Warriors can soon part ways. No one knows what the future holds or how it will end, but the major focus of the Warriors is to become a winning team.
