Caserio’s opinion about Mitchie’s recovery
The General Manager GM Nick Caserio of the team says that Metchie may be ready for the offseason program. He says that the wide receiver is making “massive strides” in his recovery journey.
On July 22, the player announced that he was diagnosed with APL, Acute Promyelocytic Leukaemia due to which he missed training camp, the regular, and the preseason. Metchie is on his path to recovery and will be seen on the field soon. He was selected with the 44th overall pick in the NFL Draft 2022.
There is no specific timeline for Metchie’s recovery but he has some modifications to deal with. He will be back in the game as soon as he recovers.
Caserio in the Payne and Pendergast Radio 610 shared his views about Metchie’s recovery.
“I’d say there’s a chance that he’ll be ready for the start of the offseason program,” Caserio said. “I think there are still some things he must complete or go through. Quite frankly, it’s amazing what he’s done to this point.”
Caserio seems pragmatic and optimistic about the young pass-catcher. However, he remarks his recovery as an “amazing” one.
