Georgia LB Joins The Alabama Crimson Tide
Trezman Marshall featured in 14 games in the Bulldogs’ National title-winning season.
Alabama went in and got themselves of the finest inside linebackers in the transfer portal. This signing comes days after losing their defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Pete Golding.
On Thursday, Trezman Marshal took to social media as he announced that will be joining the Crimson Tide.
The Official Announcement From Marshall
In the post, Marshall said “I want to first thank my Heavenly Father for all the blessings He has bestowed upon me. Without Him I am nothing. Secondly, I would like to thank my support system for being there for me through everything.
“Lastly, I would like to thank Coach Smart, his staff, and the entire University of Georgia for supporting me these last three years. It has been an incredible experience and I am thankful for the lifelong memories and the brotherhood I have been a part of during my time here at UGA.
“With that said, I am announcing my transfer to the University of Alabama.”
Last season, Marshall played a key role in Georgia winning its second consecutive National Title win. In the 14 appearances he made, he had 19 tackles, one sack, and one interception on the season. During his four years in Athens, he featured in 35 games. However, his third season saw him side-lined due to a knee injury.
Marshall becomes the second player to move from Georgia to Alabama in the last two seasons. The first was wide receiver Jermaine Burton who is coming back for his senior campaign at the Crimson Tide.
Marshall is not the only player to move to Alabama this season. He is joined by Maryland tight end CJ Dipper who transferred to Alabama this offseason.
