Gabriel Jesus might play against Sporting CP
Jesus is to fly with the Arsenal squad to Lisbon
Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has been sidelined with a knee injury he suffered while at the Qatar World Cup. The 25-year-old has not featured for the Gunners since early November.
In the meantime, Arsenal has been relying on Eddie Nketiah to provide the attacking threat. However, it won’t be long before Arteta has his first choice starting eleven back to full strength.
The Brazilian has healed considerably and will be flying with his fellow teammates as the Gunners plan to face Sporting CP in the Europa League.
Will Jesus play?
The Striker is not fully fit to play a match yet. However, the reason he is flying with the squad is to join the team training sessions. Despite the massive improvement, he is still in the last stage of rehabilitation.
As per reports, Gabriel Jesus is expected to return to action within the next couple of weeks before the international break.
During this time, the striker’s health and fitness will be measured and treated accordingly. Hopefully, he will be fit to make an appearance against Leeds United on April 1.
