Former NFL star Aqib Talib’s Brother, Yaqub Talib sentenced to 37 years in prison for the fatal shooting incident.

Yaqub’s has really gone for such a long period of time. The sentence came after his involvement in a fatal shooting of a youth football coach last summer.

According to the TMZ reports, Yaqub Talib was accused of shooting youth football coach Michael Hickman following an argument over a game that the Talib brothers were coaching in.

Reportedly the Talib brothers were upset with Hickman over a call that was made in the game, leading to the argument. Via Hickman’s family, after that argument, Yaqub followed the coach and shot him with a handgun.

Yaqub Talib was then charged with murder, a charge to which he pleaded guilty last month. Aqib Talib’s brother’s trial ended with 37 years of long prison sentence.

According to Aqib Talib’s Attorney, Aquib was apparently “very distraught and devastated over this terrible loss of life” shortly after the incident occurred, but has not spoken about it since.

Former NFL player Aqib is currently an analyst working for FOX Sports and debuted on the NFL broadcast team in 2020.
