Former NFL Quarterback’s Son Breaks Silence After Being Cleared of Child Pornography Charges

Jalen Kitna, the son of former NFL quarterback Jon Kitna, has come forward to share his side of the story after being vindicated of child pornography charges. The young athlete, who once played for the Florida Gators, expressed his relief and gratitude for finally putting the accusations behind him.

Last month, Jalen Kitna was cleared of five felony pornography charges that had been hanging over him for eight long months. Today, he released a heartfelt statement, speaking out about the ordeal and asserting the allegations were without merit.

“Out of respect to the legal process I have chosen to remain silent the last 8 months, knowing the accusations levied against me as a teenager were not accurate and would be proven to be not true,” Kitna said, as reported by The Gainesville Sun. “The extensive six-month long investigation brought the prosecution to the conclusion I knew all along this was not a child pornography case. I had hoped this outcome would exonerate me and provide understanding. The reaction has been quite the opposite and created even more confusion with people making judgments based only on the initial reports, which didn’t tell the whole story.”

In his statement, Jalen Kitna shed light on the events that led to the charges being dropped. He explained that authorities had pointed out an image he shared online, suggesting it might involve an underage female. Shocked by the claim, Kitna clarified that he found the picture on a legal website and had no intention of engaging in illegal activities. The image only showed a part of the female body, and he had no reason to suspect any wrongdoing.

“This investigation found no other images that were even questionable: No photos, no videos, no chats, no searches for inappropriate material, not one illegal activity. The State determined the items police originally arrested me for should not be prosecuted either, either because the people depicted appeared to be of age or because it was not clear,” Kitna detailed.

Expressing remorse for his past actions, Kitna admitted that he learned a valuable lesson about how seemingly innocent decisions can lead to severe consequences. He apologized to his family and friends for the distress they endured throughout this challenging time, thanking them for their unwavering love and support.

The University of Florida had already parted ways with Jalen Kitna during the investigation. However, with his name now cleared, there might be opportunities for him to resume his football career elsewhere, offering a glimmer of hope in this trying journey for the young athlete.
