It seems like NFL fans are feeling a bit old this week because Martin Gramatica, a former professional kicker, has exciting news to share about his son. Nico Gramatica, who happens to be a kicker too, recently announced where he’ll be playing college football. In a post on Instagram, Nico revealed that he has decided to take his talents to the University of South Florida (USF).

Nico reveals his full commitment with the words, “100% committed to @usffootball,” sharing his enthusiasm with the announcement. This decision doesn’t come as a surprise to those who have been following Nico’s football journey during his time at Cambridge Christian School in Tampa, Florida.

Martin Gramatica had an impressive career as an NFL kicker from 1999 to 2008, playing for various teams such as the Buccaneers, Colts, Cowboys, Patriots, and Saints. He made 155 field goals and had an exceptional 99.1 percent success rate in extra-point attempts.

Winning the Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl XXXVII was undoubtedly the highlight of Martin Gramatica’s career. He also received honors like being selected for the Pro Bowl and earning All-Pro recognition in the remarkable 2000 season.

Nico Gramatica now faces the challenge of living up to his father’s successful legacy. It won’t be easy, but he’s ready to embark on his college football journey at USF. The decision to commit to USF shows his dedication and pride in following in his father’s footsteps.

USF is known for its competitive football program in the American Athletic Conference (AAC), and Nico’s kicking skills will surely contribute to the team’s success. Although he has big expectations to fulfill, the support of his family and their shared love for the game will guide him along the way.
