Former NFL coach, Bill Parcells shares thoughts on the Cowboys
The great NFL former coach, Bill Parcells said that the main problem faced by Dallas Cowboys was not the quarterback.
Parcells evaluated the 14 teams which got into the playoff for the 33rd Team. The coach on evaluating the Cowboys expressed that “They don’t have the top, top-quality quarterback in Dak Prescott, but I do think he’s good enough to win with, I just think they have to put more pieces around him. They just have to be more reliant on the overall scheme. Their defense is pretty good, but their overall offensive scheme has to be more balanced.”
The coach also agreed that the team has a good defense but when it comes to the offense, mainly the play calling of Kellen Moore is affecting the team badly.
Parcells suggested that it would be better if Prescott focus on running and takes off the ball out of his hand more frequently. “Their overall offensive scheme has to be more balanced,” Parcells said.
The running back Tony Pollard, whose leg got broken in the divisional round loss to San Francisco. It would be hard for the Cowboys in their next season. Whereas if he does come back, the Cowboys can have hope. Parcells remarked, “Tony Pollard had a great year. I don’t know if he can hold up for too long physically, and he’s a free agent this offseason.”
Parcells also addressed Ezekiel Elliott, that the time of the team with Elliot is coming to an end. This clearly explains that both players Pollard and Elliot will not be a part of next season and the Cowboys need to find another running back to balance the vacuum created by Elliot and Pollard.
Parcells last served as an NFL head coach in Dallas from 2003 to 2006 but he is still engaged in knowing about what’s going on with the team.
Even Cowboys fans wanted to change the head coach Mike McCarthy, maybe Parcells could help get the team out of this misery.
