Sherika de Armas, a former Miss World contestant, sadly passed away at the age of 26. She had represented Uruguay in the Miss World competition when she was just 18, and her passing over the weekend has deeply saddened everyone.

Sherika’s younger brother, Mayk’ De Armas, shared his tribute on social media, saying, “Fly high, little sister. Always and forever.”

Sherika lost her life after bravely fighting cancer for two years. The reason behind her passing was uterine cancer, which has left the beauty community in shock.

During the 2015 Miss World competition, where she was one of the six 18-year-old contestants, Sherika de Armas had a dream of becoming a model. She once said, “I always wanted to be a model, whether a beauty model, an advertising model or a catwalk model.”

She also expressed her love for all things related to fashion, mentioning that within a beauty pageant, every girl wishes to participate in Miss Universe. She was thrilled to experience a journey filled with challenges.

On this solemn Sunday evening, our thoughts are with the friends and family of Sherika de Armas as they come to terms with this profound loss. Sherika’s legacy as a young woman who pursued her dreams and faced life’s challenges head-on lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, even if only through the pageant stage.
