Former Georgia Football Star Retiring Early At 31, Veteran Linebacker Expressed Gratitude In IG
Veteran linebacker Alec Ogletree is retiring early at 31. Former Georgia football star Alec decided to retire from the NFL after spending a decade.
Alec revealed his retirement news in his Instagram post on Tuesday. He thanked NFL and all his former teams including the Rams, Giants, New york jets, and Chicago Bears. He expressed nothing but gratitude to his wife for being there, his family, friends, and all his fans for their love and support.
Ogletree wrote in his Instagram, “And just like that it’s a wrap. Thank you @nfl @rams @nygiants @nyjets @chicagobears for allowing me to play 9 unforgettable years in the league!!! Thank you to all my teammates that I got a chance to play with and know over the years,”
Alec wrapped it with a heartfelt message to his Wife, “Thank you to my wife @alexogletree03.14 for being there to support, pick me up, help, correct, whatever the case may be…I love y’all and thank you again for supporting me over the years!!!”
LB Alec started his NFL career with the Rams as a former first-round pick and later played in the Giants, Jets, and Bears. He played 111 NFL games with 766 tackles, 13 forced fumbles, 12 interceptions, and 7.5 sacks in his 9 years career. Ogletree was also an All-SEC player at Georgia.
