Former College Football Coach Rick Neuheisel’s Prediction about Jim Harbaugh Leaving Michigan
Former Colorado football head coach Rick Neuheisel has just made a shocking prediction about Michigan’s head coach Jim Harbaugh.
According to Neuheisel Jim is chasing another NFL opportunity amid Michigan’s ongoing scandal. Neuheisel talked about this issue on Monday, saying that Harbaugh’s behavior could make college football organizations target him. Harbaugh has thought about going back to the NFL in the last two years, and Neuheisel thinks the recent controversy might make him leave Michigan after the 2023 season.”
“I think they get through the season, and I think Jim goes off to the NFL if there’s an NFL team that will have him,” Neuheisel said. “I thought it would be perfect for him to be with the Bears. It kind of fits his personality, but I don’t know what his relationship is with [Bears president] Kevin Warren, the former [Big Ten] commissioner.”
Neuheisel said it’s clear Michigan got an advantage by spying on the other team’s signals, which is not allowed. He pointed to photos of Connor Stalions with Michigan’s coaches during games as proof.
Stalions, who bought tickets to several Big Ten games, admitted to stealing signs in a text message. Neuheisel said seeing Stalions on the sideline during games was unusual.
“You don’t get to stand next to me. You don’t get to stand next to the coordinator. That guy is standing there with a Denny’s menu right next to these coordinators, and he’s not ordering Grand Slam breakfasts,” Neuheisel said. “He’s telling them exactly what’s happening on the other side, and that’s an advantage.”
Harbaugh claimed an interview with the Minnesota Vikings before the 2022 season would be “the last time” he’d pursue an NFL coaching job. However, he interviewed with the Denver Broncos earlier this year.
Even though Harbaugh said he would stay with Michigan, the problem might make him want to start fresh somewhere else. He might want to avoid any troubles the team could have because of the issue.
