Former Chiefs Super Bowl Champ, Bashaud Breeland, Nabbed on Serious Charges, Caught with AK-47
Ex-NFL star and former Chiefs player, Bashaud Breeland, has made headlines this week, but not for his football achievements.
Breeland, who played professional football for eight seasons, got himself into a spot of trouble. He was taken into custody at Mecklenburg County Jail recently. The reason? He was caught with a stolen Mercedes-Benz SUV and not just one, but two AK-47 guns.
The jail records show that Breeland is facing quite a list of charges. These include having a stolen vehicle, messing with serial numbers and titles, having drugs like marijuana and a controlled substance classified as Schedule I, and also having a stolen gun.

Breeland managed to get out of jail after he paid a bond of $30,000, according to court records.
His journey in the NFL has been quite a journey. He started out as a player picked in the fourth round from Clemson University. He began his career with the Commanders and then joined the Packers. However, his big moments came in 2019 when he joined the Chiefs.
In that season, Breeland showed his skills with 48 tackles, eight pass breakups, and two interceptions. This helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl that year. He continued playing with the Chiefs for another year before ending his career with the Vikings.
The question now is whether we’ll see Breeland back in the game again, given his recent troubles.
