Football Star Tim Tebow Co-Owns Minor League Hockey Team
Multi-talented Football star player Tim Tebow is now the owner of a Minor Hockey Lague Team.
It is no surprise for the fans that two-time national champion Tim Tebow is getting into a different sport. Tim was also a former baseball player, author, and the SEC Network College Football Analyst.
35-year-old Tim only played three seasons in the National Football League as a quarterback, most notably with the Denver Broncos.
According to the ESPN report,
“The ECHL board of governors has approved the expansion application for a team in Lake Tahoe beginning in the 2024-25 season. The franchise will be owned by Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner with the University of Florida and former NFL quarterback with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets,”
“He’ll own the team with David Hodges, CEO of Hodges Management Group LLC, which owns three auto dealerships and real estate investment firms in Georgia.”
The minor league hockey group is excited that Tahoe Blue Event will expand its geography, especially in the Mountain division.
On Monday in a statement ECHL commissioner Ryan Crelin said,
“The ECHL proudly welcomes the 29th Member Team to the League in the brand-new Tahoe Blue Event Center, expanding our geography in the western part of the continent, and creating natural rivalries for visiting fans with the Idaho Steelheads, Utah Grizzlies, and the entire Mountain Division,”
Tebow’s first draft was picked by Denver Broncos in 2019 when he played his most NFL season. He dropped from football because of his clumsy throwing style.
After becoming a free agent, Tim Tebow got hired by the SEC networks as an Analyst for the college football team.
