Following “concern” on social media, Shannon Sharpe addresses the makeup photos of HOF TE that went viral on ESPN

Shannon Sharpe, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is a household celebrity, which helped him land a career in sports journalism. Shortly after departing from Undisputed on FS1, where he co-hosted with Skip Bayless for seven years, he became a member of First Take on ESPN. His podcast, Club Shay Shay, is still working hard.
However, on a recent episode of Sharpe’s sports debate show with Stephen A. Smith, fans had concerns about his cosmetics. People who witnessed the former NFL tight end’s appearance demanded that his makeup artist be fired. In the midst of this event, though, the former Savannah State standout chose the moral high ground.
Shannon Sharpe decides to put his fortunate life in perspective after his cosmetic accident
Sharpe’s peculiar facial tone caught viewers’ attention in a recent First Take show. A snapshot from the concert was published by a spoof account that went by his name, along with the caption:
“I’m sorry, but they did unc Shannon Sharpe wrong af on the first take today. ManI smh got him looking like Randy Jackson ???”
Shannon Sharpe, however, decided to ignore his register while watching television. He responded to additional tweets criticizing his looks because of this. A user on Twitter stated:
“That poor girl has had enough.”
The three-time Super Bowl champion then answered:
“No, she’s not. She’ll improve after I apply my makeup. Is the world not ending?
Another football enthusiast stated:
“You reminded me of Juwanna Mann.”
For the uninitiated, Juwanna Mann is a 2002 sports comedy film featuring R&B singer Ginuwine, Vivica A. Fox, and Miguel A. Nuñez. In the movie, NBA player Jamal Jeffries dons a drag outfit in order to compete in a women’s professional league.
In response to that remark, the five-time All-Pro said:
“I will live and remain incredibly fortunate.”
After the conversation, Sharpe tweeted:
“Thank you for your concern about my makeup on @FirstTake this morning. She applied my makeup for the first time, and it was a touch thick. My looks matter, but more is needed than my opinions. I hope the takes were excellent, as always.
