FIFA 22 is a Football Stimulation E-Game developed by Electronic Arts. It is the 29th game in the series of football games under EA Sports. It was initially released in October 2021 with Kylian Mbappe as the cover. It is available on multiple gaming platforms including PSP, Xbox, Microsoft Windows, and Nintendo Switch. FIFA stands for International Federation of Association Football is the governing body of football sports worldwide.

FIFA removed all the Russian national teams from the roster in response to Russia’s Attack on Ukraine. It means that neither Russian teams nor Belarussian teams will be able to participate in FIFA.

Does FIFA 22 Support Crossplay?

In the early patch of the initial release, FIFA 22 was launched with no option for crossplay. But later, Electronic Arts decides to launch only 2 modes in which players can use crossplay. These are ‘Online Seasons’ and ‘Online Friendlies’. Other than this, you can also use the cross-gen features in the game which you can play the game on different generation consoles of a gaming device platform (For example, PS4 and PS5).

Steps to Activate Crossplay in FIFA 22

  • Go to the main menu in FIFA 22.
  • Press RT on Xbox One, Series X|S, or R2 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
  • Go to the Friends tab.
  • If you do not have your friend, add them:
    1. Press Y on Xbox One, Series X|S, or Triangle on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
    2. Write your friend’s Xbox Live Gamertag or PSN.
  • Highlight any name on the list
  • Press X on Xbox One, Series X|S, or Square on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
  • Pick the Enable Cross-Play option.

Remember, you need to turn off this feature once you’re done playing in a crossplay with your friend. Otherwise, it will remain open. You can turn off the feature using the same steps mentioned above.
