Fans roast Isaiah Thomas after latest struggles to return to NBA

Since the 2019–20 season, former Boston Celtics star Isaiah Thomas has been searching for a reliable club. Thomas was moved to the Brooklyn Nets following an outstanding postseason performance in which he overcame a lip injury and the death of her sister. He has had trouble locating a squad that will be his permanent home ever since.

Thomas joined the Washington Wizards following stints of 15 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers, 17 with the Los Angeles Lakers, and 12 with the Denver Nuggets. He scored 12.2 points per game on a career-high 41.3% shooting from downtown across 40 games. But he ultimately joined the New Orleans Pelicans the next season.

Thomas divided time between the Lakers, Mavericks, and Hornets during the 2021–22 season after appearing in just three games for the Pelicans in 2020–21. Since then, Thomas hasn’t been able to sign with a club despite his strong ProAm results.

He revealed that he had just phoned the Charlotte Hornets, with whom he played 17 games in the 2021–2022 season, in a social media post. It appeared that the squad was not interested in his services, even if he was eager to participate. Fans responded to the issue with a variety of scathing remarks, which you can see below.

The contentious split between Isaiah Thomas and the Boston Celtics

Even though Isaiah Thomas was just 5’9″, he demonstrated throughout his tenure with the Boston Celtics that he was a true giant on the floor. Thomas became a major star in the league over the next two seasons after joining the Celtics for the 2014–15 campaign.

He participated in all 82 team games and increased his points per game average in the 2015–16 campaign. He scored a career-high 28.9 points per game the next season while shooting an amazing 46.3% from the field. Thomas vowed not to allow the Celtics to lose in the opening round once more when the playoffs rolled around.

Thomas was dedicated to the squad even after finding out his younger sister had died in a car accident the day before the playoffs began. He didn’t take a break from the game; instead, he erupted for 33 points in Game 1 and helped the team win the series 4–2.

Following his sister’s burial, which involved traveling across the nation, he made a significant comeback for the team’s second-round series against the Washington Wizards. Even though he unintentionally knocked out a tooth that needed surgery due to an elbow, he once more contributed to the team’s postseason success.

Though he guided the franchise to its first Western Conference Finals appearance since 2012, Thomas was shockingly traded by the front staff that offseason. He hasn’t been able to sign a long-term contract with a team since.
