One fan wrote, “This is why preseason rankings are so stupid. Clemson just lost to a team that apparently is still worse than them. This has always been the worst part of college football.”

Another fan said, “28-7 Duke (1-0) beat Clemson (0-1). So much for the new season results mattering. Be better Polls!!!!”

One fan pointed out the unfair advantage and wrote, “Too many pollsters (?) vote on reputations…not performance. It makes polls less significant.”

Another fan added, “Completely wrong!! Duke whooped them.”

One fan said, “Throw the coaches’ poll in the trash, it’s one of the dumbest lists in sports every week.”

Some fans do not like Clemson sitting on top above Duke. There are some fans rooting for no more polls until teams play at least five games.
