Fans Reaction To Ohio State Recruits Nebraska’s President Ted Carter For This College Season
One of the Big Ten schools Ohio State is poaching for its new president from its biggest rival Nebraska. Reportedly, Ohio State is offering Nebraska’s president Ted Carter the same position in the school.
On Tuesday, via Nebraska Examiner reporter said that Ted Carter, who has been the president of the University of Nebraska system since Jan. 1, 2020, is “poised to be named” to the same position at Ohio State.
Aaron Sanderford, Nebraska Examiner reporter, tweeted the news on his official Twitter handle.
Aaron wrote, “BREAKING: The University of #Nebraska President, Ted Carter, appears poised to be named the next president at The Ohio State University, the @NE_Examiner has learned.”

The news of Carter’s recruitment to Ohio State created a stir among the fans.
Mike Wittmann, “Big Ten schools just hiring from other Big Ten schools. You might be in a top conference but there’s still a clear hierarchy.”
Another person wrote, “Between this move and USC taking Washington’s AD yesterday…there’s been a bunch of B1G on B1G administrator crime happening the last 2 days.”
One NEbraska fan was disappointed with Carter’s decision, “Oh no…don’t do this Ted.”
The Athletic reporter Mitch Sherman, “Ted Carter was instrumental in recruiting Matt Rhule to Nebraska and has served for the past several weeks on the Big Ten COP/C after the university shifted its power structure in order for Carter to provide direct oversight of athletics in Lincoln.”
If Ohio State hires Ted Carter, he will be the 17th president of Ohio State University and replace Kristina M. Johnson, whose tenure at OSU ended in May.
However, there is one thing is clear despite the rivalry there is a hierarchy in the Big Ten conference as the hiring from inside schools.
