Joe Mixon agreed to restructure the deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. The New contract will keep the former Pro Bowl running back on the team for 2023.

Joe Mixon is entering the third year of his four-year contract of $48 million with the Cincinnati Bengals. There were rumors running around that in this offseason Bengals might release Joe Mixon.

The Bengals brushed off the rumors on Friday night and declared they restructure the contract with their running back Mixon.

Joe’s agent Peter Schaffer told ESPN’s Adam Schefter,

“Bengals’ RB Joe Mixon, who had a $9.4 million non-guaranteed base salary, agreed tonight to restructure his contract to remain in Cincinnati.”

“Joe’s goal is to win a Super Bowl and play his career in Cincinnati and this is the best way to accomplish these goals,”

Fans have mixed emotions about the Joe Mixon and Cincinnati Bengals.
