Fans Disappointed By Nebraska’s TE Arik Gilbert’s Arrest on Burglary
Not only Nebraska’s head coach Matt Rhule but fans are disappointed by the tight end Arik Gilbert’s arrest on burglary.
21-year-old Arik Gilbert was arrested for burglary at SJ’s Liquor and Vape Shop in Lancaster County. Reportedly, He was apprehended by officers while carrying a bag that contained $1,672 in vape products, Delta 8, cigars and lighters.

This year Nebraska’s coach Matt Rhule has different dream for the team. He’s said that he wants Nebraska to be at the level it was back in the 1990s, when the Huskers won three national championships. Rhule has been constaly working on seeking for the best recruit for the team.
Arik Gilbert was one of those recuit, who was expected to make a major impact as a Nebraska Cornhuskers’ tight end.
Arik Gilbert who previously played at LSU and Georgia, left all the Cornhuskers fans disappointed with his action. Amid Gilbert arrest for the burgalry at the Vape shop, also suspended from the team as well.
So many fans feeling bad for no. recruit Arik’s arrest and shared their disappointment on the X twitter.
One fan wrote, “I thought Nebraska was back ?”
Another fan wrote, “NIL at Nebraska ain’t hitting like that i guess.”
One fan expressed his disappointment, “”Really unfortunate seeing things like this. Kid had all the talent in the world and a chance to make a huge impact in football.”
The news shocked one fan, “Well dayum. What’s going on in Nebraska?!”
“Man, i hate this. Its so sad…,” one fan added. “So much talent, wasted.”
another fan noted, “This kid had so much potential. Such natural ability. A shame to see it go this way.”
Because Gilbert transferring into Nebraska’s for the a second time in two years he needed an acceptance letter, but it seems difficult after his arrest.
