Fans are Upset with Youtuber ‘Dream’ Comments on Doxxing
Dream (Real name: Clay) is a 23 years old American Youtuber (YouTube Channel: 31.5 million subscribers) and Twitch Streamer (Twitch Channel: 6.4 million followers). He is popular for the video streaming of multiple E-Games ‘Minecraft’ and ‘GeoGuessr’. His most popular YouTube video series is Minecraft Hunt which was released in 2019. Also, he is the winner of The Game Award for Content Creator of the Year 2021.

The Dream revealed his face to millions of fans through a live video. Surprisingly, It was the first time when his fans have seen his real face. This publicity stunt got a mixed reaction but there are times when fans got upset with some actions of these celebrities. One such situation is when Dream’s fans get angry with him for comments about doxxing.
What is Doxxing?
The meaning of doxxing according to the Oxford Dictionary is ‘search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the internet, typically with malicious intent’.
The Heat of Comment on Twitter
Recently on April 11, Dream replied to a user’s comment on Twitter. After this, the user turned his account private. And, then some fans got upset with Dream and said that he doesn’t think about his loyal fanbase.
To clear the situation, Dream decided to go live on April 13 where he said, “If you are a person on Twitter and you have seven followers and you get doxxed on Twitter, the odds of you having something happen to you, in your life, are so astronomically small that it’s not even worth worrying about,”.
And, he made clear that if he didn’t comment anything on doxxing. So, if someone did this it’s certainly not him.
