Some fans believe that former NFL running back Peyton Hillis was ignored by the ESPs.

ESPYs stands for the Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly, award for honoring the top athlete and sports person of the year.

This year Peyton Hillis rescued his son and niece from drowning in the ocean during riptide, which led him to a serious condition he was even airlifted to the nearest hospital. Fans believe he should be honored with the Arthur Ashe Award for courage and resiliency.

At least former NFL standout Peyton deserves that much but instead the award is going to the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.

Some fans are not happy about that and expressed their emotions toward Peyton Hillis on Twitter.

One tweeted, “Should be Peyton Hillis “

Another wrote, ” Pathetic. Justice for Peyton Hillis”

One wrote, “Ya because Peyton Hillis didn’t save his children from a riptide.”

another tweet read, “No disrespect, but HOW THE HELL is this not given to Peyton Hillis, who selflessly saved the lives of his son and niece while putting his life at risk and nearly dying?”

“How in the hell does Peyton Hillis not win this award?” another fan tweeted.

While talking with former NFL player and Journalist Michael Strahan, Peyton Hillis said, “It is 100% a miracle that somebody didn’t die.”

It is sad that Hillis is not on the list. Peyton’s fans are proud of him to save his family from drowning. Peyton is a true American hero who doesn’t need a souvenir to remind him about that.
