Ezreal Brings Unique Gameplay to Teamfight Tactics Set 8.5 Glitched Out

Teamfight Tactics (TFT) is set to receive a Mid-Set update, featuring a new version of Ezreal in Set 8.5 Glitched Out! This update promises to shake up champions and traits, offering players a new gameplay experience.

Improving Ezreal’s Playability

In Set Eight, Ezreal was merely an item holder/support unit with the traits Underground and Recon. However, TFT’s development team has removed Recon as a trait for Set 8.5 and is attempting to improve Ezreal’s playability. The new Ezreal is a two-cost champion with the traits Underground, Parallel, and Quickdraw.

A Prominent Theme in Set 8.5

The new Parrelel trait in Set 8.5 is unique to Ultimate Ezreal, a five-cost champion with the traits InfiniTeam, Parallel, and Sureshot. The trait leans into the theme of glitches and alternate realities brought on by interdimensional rifts over the city of Spatulopolis.

Breaking Traditional Champion Molds

Set 8.5 breaks traditional champion molds by including two versions of the same champion at two different tiers. Each version has its spell ability, with the tier-two Ezreal using Sabotage and the five-cost Ultimate Ezreal using the spell Alternate Ezrealities. Both were designed to work together.

The Parallel Trait

The new Parrelel trait wants players to have both versions of Ezreal on the battlefield at the same time. Upon activating the Parallel trait, the two-cost Ezreal’s ability becomes a blast that hits all enemies in a line while five-cost Ultimate Ezreal summons a temporal duplicate. However, the two Ezreals are quite different from one another, with the only trait they share being Parallel.

Test the Two Ezreals

Players can test out the two Ezreals and the Parallel trait when TFT Set 8.5 drops into PBE servers on March 8. The official launch of Glitched Out!, the second half of Monsters Attack!, will release on March 22.

Overall, TFT Set 8.5 Glitched Out! promises to bring exciting changes to the game’s champions and traits, giving players a unique gameplay experience. With the introduction of a new Ezreal and the Parallel trait, players will have to strategize differently to succeed. TFT fans can’t wait to see what else the Mid-Set update has in store.
