Exploring the Latest Rumors on Andrew Wiggins’ Condition: Is the Golden State Warriors Star Hurt?
Golden State Warriors star player Andrew Wiggins has been absent from the team for the past 14 games due to a personal family matter. He last played on February 13 against the Washington Wizards. According to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, Wiggins may not return to the team this season. Kerr suggested that Wiggins is dealing with an issue that goes beyond basketball, indicating that it may be a significant personal matter that requires his attention.
“There’s nothing to report,” Kerr said. “So, we’re giving him the space as we talked about, as he deals with something that’s way more important than the game. And if he’s able to come back, then that would be great. And if not, then that’s the case. And whatever happens, we handle it accordingly.”
Although the Golden State Warriors haven’t revealed the reason behind Andrew Wiggins missing games Marcus Thompson, a reporter for The Athletic, reported that it could be a serious issue. Thompson referred to a statement from an anonymous Warriors player, who said that Wiggins is dealing with something significant. Meanwhile, Wiggins’ girlfriend, Mychal Johnson, continues to post pictures of their two daughters, Amyha and Alayah, on Instagram.
Steph Curry spoke about Andrew Wiggins’ situation with a somber tone and acknowledged that it was about more than just basketball. Curry expressed his support for his teammate and emphasized that Wiggins should take all the time he needs to deal with his personal matters before returning to the team.
“It’s a tough situation in terms of him being away for so long, but necessary,” Curry said. “Life is bigger than basketball. Whatever he and his family are going through, that’s all that matters. Whenever he’s ready to come back, I’m sure he will.”
