EX Super Bowl Champion Mark Schlereth Upset With Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones
Three-time Super Bowl Champion Mark Schlereth is upset with Dallas Cowboys Owner, and general manager Jerry Jones.
Former offensive lineman Mark Schlereth expressed his disappointment on his podcast and gave a reason why the Cowboys never win. Recently, the Cowboys made a trade for no. 3 overall pick Trey Lance when the Cowboys have already a franchise quarterback in Dak Prescott on the team.
This trade was a shocking surprise not only for fans but the team’s head coach Mike McCarthy who didn’t have a clue about the trade. The owner and GM of the Dallas Cowboys made a move without even concerning the head coach McCarthy or QB Prescott.
Via the Awful announcing report, Mark Schlereth didn’t like Jerry Jones’ decision and didn’t hold back.
On Schlereth’s The Stinkin’ Truth podcast, he said,
“This is why … this is why the Cowboys will never win s–t. Because Jerry Jones can’t help himself.”
57, Mark believes Jerry Jones should have involved the Head coach at least before doing the deal.
He said, “Listen, I don’t really care if you involve your quarterback or not. But to not involve your head coach? What does it say about your head coach?”
Schlereth compared the Cowboys’ situation to the teams led by Joe Gibbs and Mike Shanahan, saying that they would never be undermined by a team’s owner.
He further added, “Oh, they may win a bunch of regular season games because they’re talented. But they’ll get in the playoffs, and they’ll s–t in their helmets like they do every year. That’s the Cowboys.”
The Cowboys have always been in the news for some reason. And this time the complicated quarterback situation became the reason for the Dallas talk of the town.
