Former NFL player Antonio Brown was arrested in Florida over the weekend for allegedly not paying child support. Brown, who used to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, got into legal trouble in Broward County.
Local 10 in Florida was the first to report this news, saying that the 35-year-old former NFL star was arrested in Broward County for not meeting his child support obligations.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office jail records, Antonio Brown was taken into custody late on Sunday night due to an out-of-county warrant issued for his arrest. This was a significant legal issue for the once-famous wide receiver.
After posting a $15,000 bond, Brown was released from jail. He is said to owe more than $30,000 in unpaid child support. The mother of his children, Wiltrice Jackson, expressed her desire for his arrest when speaking to TMZ Sports.
She said, “I do want him arrested. Because, right now, he’s making a mockery out of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he’s untouchable.”
