Ex-NASCAR Driver Austin Theriault Makes Decision In Politics Career
Ex-NASCAR driver Austin Theriault made a career-changing decision in politics and said not happy with what Biden did in Maine.
Apparently, 29-year-old Austin Theriault is ready to take on Democrats while running for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District. Austin has officially put his name for the seat on Monday.
Theriault also assured Maine’s people that he wouldn’t be like “out of reach” politician like others. Taking matters official Theriault posted a video of him announcing his career-changing news on the X Twitter.
Via WGME report, Theriault said,
“Regular hardworking folks are getting held down by out-of-touch, out-of-state elites who are clueless about how hard it is to make a living in Maine. And some of our leaders are not very effective in fighting back — and I will be.”
Today I announced that I’m running for Congress in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.

Austin looked confident in the video and some believe he might give tough competition to Democrat US Rep. Jared Golden while fighting for Maine’s 2nd Congressional District in 2024.
Theriault continued with his displeasure with Joe Biden,
“Joe Biden has failed us and Jared Golden more times than not fails to stand up, speak out, and get the job done for a part of the state that desperately needs leadership.”
Before Austin turned into a politician, participated in several NASCAR driving races. He appeared in 6 Xfinity Series races as well, and in 2019 he drove for Rick Ware Racing in 5 Cup Series races. Mostly he is famous for his winning the 2017 ARCA Menards Series championship.
Theriault is not new in the politics pond, he already swam. He is a member of the Maine House of Representatives where he represents the state’s 1st district.
Austin Theriault is moving into a new chapter of his career and we wish him a great success.
