ESPN Host Rece Davis is Not Happy With AP Top 25 Preseason List
ESPN host Rece Davis is not happy with the top pick of the Associated Press Top 25 Preseason College list.
Fans and other experts are fighting over who should sit on the second no. position. But ESPN’s College football host Rece Davis thinks Georgia shouldn’t be on top of 25.
While discussing the matter of college football with Scott Van Pelt on SportsCenter, Davis said, Wolverine should be on top, and decline the Georgia Bulldogs.
“While I don’t have them ranked No. 1 to start in the preseason poll — I have Michigan on top — it’s not unreasonable to think that Georgia is just going to reload. The schedule suggests that they really only have two games that they could even find a way to give away over the course of the regular season.”
In the AP’s top 25 Preseason list Georgia sits at the top, over Michigan, Ohio State, and Alabama. Crimson Tide once ruled College football facing its lowest position in the list right now.
Davis explained why he thinks Georgia would not be able to pick up in this 2023 season.
Davis explained, “It’s not that they don’t have talented guys, Carson Beck is likely the starter.”
He further added, “I was told by someone close to the Georgia program just a couple of days ago that Brock Vandagriff has been really terrific in fall camp. So they’ve got a couple of talented options, but they’re unproven.”
Sure Georgia has the best roster than Michigan, but Rece Davis believes the Wolverines have “everything they need” to make a title run.
