Erik van Rooyen won how much money in the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship?
On Sunday, Erik van Rooyen won the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship. The 33-year-old shot a final-round 9-under 63 to win the El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos, Mexico. He outlasted the likes of Matt Kuchar and Camilo Villegas by two strokes.
Rooyen won his second PGA Tour championship. With this, the South African golfer won the event’s top prize of $1,476,000 out of a total prize pool of $8,200,000. Aside from the large sum of money, the golfer has also secured his PGA Tour card for the next two years. In addition, he was granted exemptions from numerous signature tournaments in 2024.

Prize money for the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship
While Rooyen got the majority of the World Wide Technology Championship prize money, runners-up Kuchar and Villegas each received $729,800. Justin Suh finished fourth alone and earned $401,800 for his efforts. Andrew Putnam and Ryan Palmer shared T5. They each received $316,725 in prize money.
Chesson Hadley and Mackenzie Hughes each received $266,500 for finishing T7, while Carson Young finished ninth alone and received $239,850. Early World Wide Technology Championship favorite Ludvig Aberg ended in a five-way tie for tenth place. The Ryder Cupper was awarded $190,650.
