Elden Ring: Purpose and Status of Carian Inverted Statue

Elden Ring offers a wealth of engaging content to keep players occupied, including numerous main and side quests, challenging boss fights, NPC interactions, and level obstacles that combine to create a satisfying gameplay experience. However, some quests may be more difficult to uncover than others, and this article will focus on exploring one of the more obscure ones.

Where to Find Carian Inverted Statue?

Carian Inverted Statue Location

It is located in the Liurnia of the Lakes Region in Elden Ring, the Carian Study Hall is a tower of great significance due to the mystery it holds. Although it initially appears like a typical towering library, players will soon notice an upside-down platform that is currently unreachable. This is because the tower itself is actually inverted. In order to access the upper levels of the Study Hall, players will need to obtain a rare item known as the Carian Inverted Statue. This can only be obtained by completing Ranni’s questline, which is the sole way to acquire it.

Way to Get Carian Inverted Statue and Its Uses

To obtain the Carian Inverted Statue, players must complete Ranni’s quest line, which takes them through the Eternal City of Nokron. During this quest line, players will come across the Fingerslayer Blade at the end of one of the paths in Nokron. Bringing the blade back to Ranni will result in the player receiving the Carian Inverted Statue after a brief conversation.

Once the statue is obtained, it must be taken back to the Carian Study Hall and placed on the pedestal in the main room. This triggers a transformation that flips the entire tower upside down, allowing players to access the upper regions that were previously inaccessible. Following this new path will lead players to the Divine Tower of Liurnia. Obtaining the Carian Inverted Statue is the only way for players to access the Divine Tower of Liurnia. Upon reaching the tower, players must navigate along a path and defeat a mini-boss known as the Godskin Noble before climbing to the top to acquire the Cursemark of Death from Ranni’s discarded body. This action connects Ranni’s questline to Fia’s questline as well.

Use of Carian Inverted Statue

Completing Ranni’s quest line is crucial to finishing the game and unlocking the special Age of Stars ending, which awards players with an achievement. Similarly, finishing Fia’s questline will unlock another special ending related to the Prince of Death, ushering in a darker age where death once again becomes a part of the cycle of life.
