Elden Ring: Easy Guide to Beat the Falling Star Beast
The Falling Star Beast is a big four-legged monster with a long, spiky tail in Elden Ring. It has a centipede-like head with large pincers. You can find this boss in several spots across the Lands Between.
Though the Falling Star Beast is an optional boss in Elden Ring, Tarnished players should think about fighting it. The rewards will help them on their journey. To win against this fast and aggressive enemy, players must change their strategy to land hits and defeat the beast.
How and Where to Find the Falling Star Beast in Elden Ring?
You can spot the Falling Star Beast in three places in Elden Ring:
- Inside the Sellia Crystal Tunnel in eastern Caelid
- Southwest of the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Lost Grace in Altus Plateau
- The Full Grown Falling Star Beast is southwest of the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite bonfire in Mt. Gelmir
How to locate Falling Star Beast in Sellia Crystal Tunnel?
Reaching Caelid can be hard because of enemies and mini-bosses that cause Scarlet Rot. An easier way to the Sellia Crystal Tunnel is by activating a trap inside the Dragon-Burnt Ruins southeast of the Church of Elleh. The trap takes Tarnished into a small wooden shack inside the tunnel.
Leave the shack, climb the slope, and follow these steps to the boss room:
- Look at the shack you started in
- Jump on its wooden roof (a Prawn Miner stands on it)
- Go east through the hole in the wall
- Follow the path until you find a ladder to your right
- Climb the ladder, then walk across the plank
- Climb another ladder to the left
- Go through the entrance on the left
- Keep walking west, and you’ll see the boss’ room
How to locate the Falling Star Beast in Altus Plateau?
From the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Lost Grace, leave the giant doors and head south. The Falling Star Beast is inside a big crater.
How to locate the Falling Star Beast in Mt. Gelmir?
Find the Full Grown Falling Star Beast by going to the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Lost Grace in Mt. Gelmir. Use Torrent to jump through the Spirit Spring ahead, and the wind will take you to a crater with the Full Grown Falling Star Beast.
How to defeat the Falling Star Beast in Elden Ring?
The Falling Star Beast’s attacks can hurt a lot. Some are almost impossible to dodge. Here are some tips to deal with its moves:
- When it jumps and floats, roll to the right or through it if close.
- Roll through its strong tail sweep attack.
- Keep a safe distance during its charge, dodge the first two, and hit after the third.
- When its pincers turn purple, run away from the first two ground attacks, then roll through the third area attack.
- Dodge or roll away from its pincer grab attack and be ready for the next move.
- Keep the boss against a wall to avoid its gravity slam attack or use Torrent to escape in open areas.
- Dodge the laser beam attack by running toward the boss.
Each Falling Star Beast location has small differences. For example, the Altus Plateau beast doesn’t use gravity or lightning attacks, while the Caelid and Mt. Gelmir beasts do. Also, the Sellia Crystal Tunnel beast is fought in a small arena, while the other two are in open areas where Torrent can be used.
