Dwight Howard’s baby momma Royce Reed once wanted to appoint guardian for NBA star following incident with 2-year old kid
It’s not the first time Dwight Howard has been entangled in legal issues stemming from a civil action brought against him for alleged sexual assault. Royce Reed, Howard’s baby mom, filed a lawsuit against him in 2010, according to TMZ. The report claims that when Howard was supposed to be seeing his son Braylon, he disregarded his obligations.
The information was first publicized over ten years ago, but it has now reappeared again as Dwight Howard and his attorneys get ready for Stephen Harper’s complex legal defense. The complaint claims that at a meeting in the summer of 2021, there was non-consensual behavior that led to mental distress and wrongful imprisonment.
According to court records, Reed requested in the 2010 case that someone keep an eye on Howard while he was visiting his kid in Florida by filing a motion.
The kid of the former marriage allegedly reacted negatively when Howard’s nanny picked him up for his planned visitation and became irrational as a result. Police were compelled to intervene two weeks ago when it was alleged that Dwight Howard picked up his son from preschool on a day when he wasn’t authorized to.
Although Howard originally remained silent about the matter, his baby’s mother, Royce Reed, had asked the court to order Howard to reimburse her for the cost of the guardian assigned by the court.

As was already reported, Howard is currently defending against a different legal issue. Regarding his written complaint for abuse and sexual assault, Howard and his team have refuted the claims. He has disputed that the sexual contact was non-consensual, even though he doesn’t dispute that it happened.
The NBA community has taken notice of the incident, and some prominent people have voiced their opinions. The lawsuit may affect Howard’s prospects of signing with a club in the near future, even if it’s thought that his on-court performance has prevented him from signing with an NBA team.
Howard allegedly had good results from his offseason workouts with the Golden State Warriors. In spite of this, the team decided to leave their options open by not signing the seasoned big man before the season started.
