Dwayne 'The Rock' Paid Tribute To Former WWE Star Droz Death

Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ paid tribute to his former WWE wrestler Darren “Droz” Drozdov.

Pro Wrestler and former NFL player Darron Drozdov died at the age of 54 confirmed by the WWE. The official statement comes from their Twitter handle

“WWE is saddened to learn that Darren Drozdov passed away on Friday, June 30, at age 54. WWE extends its condolences to Darren Drozdov’s family, friends, and fans.”

Darron Drozdov wrestled for WWE until 1999 during a match of Smackdown he broke his two vertebrae in neck leaving him paralyzed below the neck. Later he regained strength in his upper body and chose his career as a WWE commentator and writer while sitting in a wheelchair, remaining the rest of his life in the WWE family.

Dwayne Johnson also paid his tribute on Twitter and recalled the days he spent with the Droz, and said he loves to talk about football and fishing with his former wrestler partner and friend.

Johnson tweeted, “Man I’m so sorry to hear one of our ring brothers has passed away. Darren Drozdov aka Droz. We wrestled on a lot of cards together. Such an awesome dude. Great personality and great wrestling talent. We always talked about football and fishing. Sending love, strength, mana and light to his family. RIP brother,”

The Rock Tweet tribute to his late friend Droz got viral on Twitter and had over 8k likes and more than 900 retweets.

One Fan said, “Droz was very Athletic and Wrestled with Care when in the ring … His Predecessor Ivan Koloff was Very good about it as Well … Loved them Very Much … Ivan was a Dear Friend … Rest In Peace Droz as Ivan is there to welcome You as Comrad.”

Fans are also appreciating the WWE taking care of their former wrestler Droz after his injury and providing all the support to his family. It’s good to know that WWE Sports take good care of its players.
