Does PSG stand a chance against Bayern?
Pundits deny that PSG can overturn Bayern
In the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 clash, Bayern took a 1-0 lead on aggregate against a woeful PSG. However, Christophe Galtier’s men will be eager to avenge their loss as they travel to Munich for the second leg.
What does the pundit think?
Habib Beye of Canal Plus believes that the Parisians hold “no chance” of defeating the Bavarians and qualifying for the quarter-finals.
As captured by PSG talk, Beye said, “I would dream of coaching one of the two teams in my life for at least a day; it’s the dream of a lifetime, surely. But what is certain is that they have no chance if it is this PSG. Clearly, even Mbappé, at this level, has no chance. Against Bayern, impossible. That is to say that we will have to change almost everything [and] have another philosophy, but this PSG that I have seen and that I have [seen] for a few weeks has no chance, in my opinion, of qualifying. Now, I really hope so, but what I’ve seen isn’t enough. Clearly.”
Nevertheless, some insist that a frontline consisting of Neymar and Mbappe, the two most expensive players in the world along with arguably the best player of all time, Lionel Messi can get past Bayern Munich and even go on to win the whole thing.
