Dick Vitale Gets Emotional On 35th, Final Treatment For Larynx Cancer
ESPN veteran College Basketball broadcaster Dick Vitale gone trough an emotional roller coaster at his 35th and final treatment for Larynx cancer on Friday.
Legendary College sports analyst Dickie V was diagnosed with longtime vocal cord cancer earlier this year. In these past few months 84-year-old Vitale went through a cancer treatment nearly three dozen times.
This Friday Morning, Vitale got emotional when a small ceremony took place at Sarasota Memorial Radiation Oncology Center to celebrate Vitale’s 35th treatment for larynx cancer.
Tempa Bay Times reporter Joey Knight shared the video on his X Twitter. Knight wrote in a caption,
“Poignant morning here at Sarasota Memorial Radiation Oncology Center as a small ceremony is held in observance of @DickieV ’s 35th and final treatment for larynx cancer. Doctors are optimistic they’ve killed all the cells but won’t know for sure for another 2 or so weeks.”
