Diablo 4 Open Beta: Save Data and Everything You Need to Know
Are you eagerly waiting for the Diablo 4 Open Beta? If so, you’re not alone! With the Beta starting soon, there’s a lot of excitement in the air. But, with the excitement comes questions, especially when it comes to game progress and saving data. So, let’s dive in and answer some of the most common questions players have about the Diablo 4 Open Beta.
When Does the Open Beta Period Start?
The Open Beta starts on March 24, 2023, at 9:00 AM PDT, and ends on March 26, 2023. Players can preload the game files so they can jump in as soon as the Beta begins. The download size is around 85GB for PC and around 75GB for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Series X|S.
Will Open Beta Save Data Transfer Over to the Full Release?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. You cannot carry over your saved file from the Beta to the full release. Blizzard addressed this in one of their blog posts, citing fairness as the reason. Everyone will have to start from scratch once the full game release.
What About Early Access Beta?
Players who participated in the Early Access Beta will be able to use the characters they already made. However, Open Beta characters will have to make new characters. But, don’t fret! The Open Beta introduces two additional classes: the Druid and the Necromancer, on top of the already available Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorcerer.
What Rewards Can Players Expect?
Players who participate in either Beta will be able to receive up to three rewards, which will be available to players once they buy and play the full game:
- Initial Casualty title: Reach Kyovashad with one character.
- Early Voyager title: Reach level 20 with one character.
- Beta Wolf Pack cosmetic item: Reach level 20 with one character.
Now that you know what to expect from the Diablo 4 Open Beta, it’s time to get excited! While it’s unfortunate that the saved data won’t transfer over to the full release, this gives everyone a fair chance to start from scratch. Plus, with new classes and rewards to look forward to, there’s plenty of excitement ahead. So, preload those game files, and get ready to jump into the action!
