Desmond Howard Reacts to Colorado Coach Jay Norvell’s Comments: A Controversy Brewing

Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell’s recent comments about Deion Sanders’ fashion choices have raised eyebrows and created quite a stir.

Just a few days ago, Norvell indirectly criticized Sanders’ attire during news conferences. He stated in an interview with On3, “They’re tired of all that stuff. They really are tired of it. And I sat down with ESPN today, and I don’t care if they hear it in Boulder. I told them, ‘I took my hat off, and I took my glasses off.’ And I said, ‘When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off.’ That’s what my mother taught me.”

ESPN’s Desmond Howard discussed Norvell’s comments with some Colorado coaching staff members last Friday. Their response was noteworthy.

Howard shared, “Yeah, they about to F around and find out tomorrow night. That’s what they said. They’re about to F**k around and find out.”

Norvell clarified that he didn’t mean to disrespect Sanders but was trying to convey a message to his own players. He wanted to emphasize the importance of professionalism, especially when dealing with the media.

Norvell stated, “With all the media involved with this game, not one reporter asked me about my comments. One guy got it. I wanted to send a message to our players and how we run our program.”

As tensions persist, it remains to be seen whether the Buffaloes will aim for a dominant performance tonight against the Rams, potentially adding more drama to this unfolding story.
