Deion Sanders Wants To Coach In The NFL, An NCAA Analyst Starts New Giant Truth-Bomb Rumors
Deion Sanders is now considered one of the most famous coaches in the college football world as he has already shown his worth and the Colorado Buffaloes’ outstanding performance.
Before joining Buffaloes, Sanders had a successful three-year coaching stint at Jackson State where he compiled a 27-6 record. The Buffaloes defeated stunned TCU 45-42 in Week 1 then followed it up with a 36-14 blowout win at home over Nebraska.
Many fans believe that with his ability, he is qualified to be a part of the NFL world.
During an interview on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” (h/t Patrick Andres of Sports Illustrated), FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt was asked by Colin Cowherd about the possibility of “Prime Time” eyeing an NFL coaching position.
But according to Klatt, Sanders is content in the NCAA and isn’t at all interested in going back to the pros, where he pieced together a Hall of Fame career.
“He’s not going to the NFL. I don’t know if he’s gonna be at Colorado for sure (going forward), but I can tell you for sure, he’s not going to the NFL.
"Deion doesn't want to coach in the NFL. He's told me that point blank to my face."

Deion doesn’t want to coach in the NFL. He’s told me that, point blank, to my face. He believes that his role is more as a mentor. He loves coaching kids. He believes (coaching college football) is his ministry—to be there for kids in college, to be a father figure for kids in this moment of their life.”
Not every best players chooses to become a coach and even if one does it’s not necessary he will be a successful one. But Sanders has proven himself up to the task. He guided the Tigers to back-to-back SWAC Championships in 2021 and 2022. Now, he’s revitalized the Buffaloes’ reputation after a disastrous one-win season just a year ago.
While it’s possible that Sanders might consider coaching in the NFL in the future, he appears to be thoroughly enjoying his current role with the Buffaloes. So, we might not see him leaving the NCAA anytime soon.
