Deion Sanders Talks About Why He Made Big Changes to Colorado Football Team

Deion Sanders, a big name in the sports world, didn’t waste any time making his mark on Colorado’s football team. As the Buffaloes get ready for the 2023 season with 68 new scholarship players, Sanders’ bold move to change the whole team has everyone talking.

In his first season with the Buffaloes, Sanders decided to completely change the team. This was a big decision, but it shows how much Sanders wants to make the team strong and full of players who really love the game.

Recently, Sanders explained why he made this big change. He noticed a big problem with the team from last year: there were players who didn’t really love playing football. Sanders didn’t hold back and said, “I know it was a huge overhaul, but it had to be done.” He really wanted to have a team of players who are passionate about the sport and want to give it their all.

Sanders, who has a lot of experience in the game, knows that when players truly love the sport, they perform better. He said, “It’s tremendously tough when you’re looking at a body of just dead eyes. That’s tough on any coach, not just me.” Sanders was honest about how hard it is to work with players who aren’t as excited and committed.

It wasn’t an easy choice to make big changes, and Sanders talked about how tough it was to let go of players who didn’t fit his vision. He said, “It was tremendously tough because you had some young men that just didn’t want to play the game, they didn’t love football.”

Sanders understood that it can be emotional to say goodbye to players, but he believed it was important to build a team with players who have real dedication and passion.

Looking ahead, Sanders said he’s happy with how things turned out in the off-season. Colorado’s football will start the “Coach Prime era” on September 2nd against TCU. This will be a big challenge for his new team.
