Deion Sanders Shares How TCU Coach Disrespected His Son Shedeur
Deion Sanders recently opened up about what motivated his son Shedeur’s impressive performance against TCU last weekend.
During an interview on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Sanders revealed a story from Shedeur’s high school days that stuck with him. Shedeur had attended a camp where he had a chance to impress Kendal Briles, who is currently the offensive coordinator at TCU.
Unfortunately, during that camp, it seemed like Briles didn’t pay any attention to Shedeur. This hurt Shedeur deeply, and he remembered it for a long time.
Sanders recalled, “I don’t even think he [Briles] barely spoke to him. He just pushed him off to the side. He [Shedeur] remembered that. He told me probably 20 minutes after the situation happened, ‘Dad, we’ll never come back here again.'”

Shedeur graduated from high school in 2021, so this incident happened when Briles worked at one of these three universities: Houston, Florida State, or Arkansas.
If this happened during Briles’ time at Florida State, it could complicate Deion Sanders’ relationship with his former school.
Shedeur Sanders had a remarkable start in college football. In his first game, he completed 38 out of 47 passes, gaining an incredible 510 yards and throwing four touchdowns. This stellar performance led Colorado to a thrilling 45-42 victory over TCU.
