DayZ Overview and Cross-Platform Status
DayZ is a survival video game developed and published by Bohemia Interactive. It was originally released as a mod for the game ARMA 2 in 2012 and was later released as a standalone game in 2013. The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious infection has turned most of the population into zombies. Players must scavenge for food, water, and supplies while avoiding or fighting off both zombies and other players. The game features a large open-world map, which is modeled after real locations in the Czech Republic.
DayZ is known for its intense gameplay and high level of realism. Players must manage their hunger, thirst, and health, as well as deal with realistic injuries such as broken bones and infections. The game also features permadeath, meaning that if a player dies, they lose all of their progress and must start over.
Does it support Cross-Platform?
The answer is ‘No’. DayZ doesn’t support cross-platform which also means that you can’t have your progress if you switch the platform of your console and you can’t play with friends who are not available on the same platform as yours. For example, If you use PSP and your friend uses X-box then you can’t play with your friend.
This has been a drawback for this game and the developers have not announced it yet whether it will support cross-platform or not.
Can You play DayZ offline?
To play it offline, you need to download the data file of it and then you can play it but remember you can play in single mode only when offline. Also, if you want to play it for free, you can switch to the Steam platform and play it for free.
