The first thing you must have in Dark and Darker is a trusted friend, otherwise, you will be cheated and only end up losing your precious item. Now that you have a trusted friend share the item with him for some time and then change your character. Then you have to become a trader by reaching level 5 which is a must requirement to become a trader. The other thing is that you must have gold. You will need 15 golds to become a trader and 15 golds to trade an item in Dark and Darker.
