Former IndyCar driver Danica Patrick had an absolute blast at the Indy 500 this past weekend. Not only did she soak up the race as a passionate fan, but she also lent her expertise as an analyst for NBC Sports.
Taking to Instagram, Patrick shared some awesome photos from her time at the Indy 500. Alongside the pictures, she wrote, “Love still being part of the Indy 500!!!!! ? Damn the end got wild… I used to do that?! ?.”
Patrick was grateful to NBC Sports for giving her the chance to work alongside respected individuals like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mike Tirico. She embraced the opportunity to offer her firsthand analysis and insights to viewers.
A day before the Indy 500, Patrick participated in the rehearsal with Mike Tirico. She also shared Photos of her rehearsals on Instagram while donning a beautiful flower-printed outfit with a cowboy hat.
Her Indy 500 week started with Carb Day at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where she hangs out at the race court and meet up with fans, and she also had her time on the analyst panel while commentating alongside individuals like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mike Tirico.
Over her career, Patrick competed in the Indy 500 a remarkable eight times. She achieved six top-10 finishes, with her best performance being a remarkable third place in 2009, setting a women’s record.
This year, Josef Newgarden emerged as the ultimate victor of the Indy 500, pocketing a whopping $3.6 million from the record-breaking prize. The runner-up, Marcus Ericsson, didn’t go home empty-handed either, earning a cool $1.043 million for his efforts throughout the thrilling weekend.
