Dallas Cowboys’ Main Concern This Season, According to Jerry Jones
Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones recently appeared on 105.3 The FAN to talk about various topics concerning his football team. During the conversation, Jones talked about his top worry for the Cowboys this season. He’s most concerned about how the Cowboys perform when they’re close to the opponent’s end zone.
Right now, the Cowboys aren’t doing too well when it comes to scoring touchdowns in these situations. They’re in the bottom half of the league.
Jones wants the team to do better in these situations, and he said, “I think the thing we need to zero in on is when we get that ball down in there close, we’ve got to get touchdowns. And that’s probably across the board over these last three ball games. We got a long time to go in this season. We got a lot of room to really adjust and correct these things. While it’s something to note, it’s not a long-range concern.”

When asked if he’s happy with the changes made to the Cowboys’ offensive strategy, Jones gave an interesting answer. He said, “I want to see more to use the word ‘happy.’ But let me be real clear, I think with what we’re trying to do is really doable. We certainly have the personnel to execute on it. … I give it a thumbs up. Let’s go.”
The Cowboys will try to improve their performance in the red zone this Sunday when they play against the New England Patriots. The game starts at 4:25 p.m. Eastern Time.
