Dale Earnhardt Jr. Talks About Friday Night Scary Car Fire Accident
NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. talked about his scary Friday night car fire accident.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. officially retired from full-time motorsports and talked to the reporters about a recent life-endangered car fire accident. Earnhardt Jr. experienced this life-threatening accident during the Xfinity Series race at Bristol on Friday night.
Via On3 report, Earnhardt Jr. car was filled with smoke when he was pulled out of the burning car. Dale has more 30 laps to go to reach the finish line.
Earnhardt Jr. shared his scary experience with the reporters. Earnhardt Jr said,
“So it started smoking, and I thought — Well, I started smelling something first. I thought, ‘Man, maybe that’s the car in front of me, hopefully it’s the car in front of me. Then I started seeing a lot of smoke around the dash and above the dash.”
He added further,
“The smoke was getting worse. I had them boys racing for the lead right in front of me, and I looked down at the leg brace and it was on fire. And I felt this sting in my leg. I thought, ‘Well, I can’t keep going.’”
According to the veteran NASCAR driver, if he would continue the race, “it would’ve burnt me pretty bad.”

But before the situation got any worse he was taken out of his car.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. didn’t get any serious burns or injuries from that accident.
