This is another player getting injured during the practice at the Cowboys training camp. On Monday Coach McCarthy talked about running back Ronald Jones’s groin injury. And now their defence tackle Mazi Smith missed practice because of his serious injury.
Mazi Smith played three seasons of college football for the Wolverines, the latter of which was his best with 49 total tackles (23 solo), one sack, and one forced fumble.
Coach McCarthy is hoping that Smith will provide more pass-rushing help to take the pressure off Micah Parsons and Demarcus Lawrence.
Dallas Cowboys’ first preseason campaign against Jacksonville on Aug. 12. Kickoff will be at 5 p.m. ET.
