Cowboys RB Ronald Jones Will Missed Practice Due To Groin Injury

The Dallas Cowboys team is suffering from some serious running back injuries. Recently Tony Pollard came out from his leg injury and joined the practice camp at Oxnard. And now another RB will miss some time on practice because of his groin injury.

On Monday, Coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that backup running back Ronald Jones is dealing with a groin injury and will “miss some time.” It’s not clear whether that time will be missed on the practice field or the regular season though.

Via ProFootballTalk , McCarthy said, “He’s going to miss some time. He won’t practice today. He will not be available today.”

Former Chiefs running back Ronald Jones signed the Dallas Cowboys this year as a free agent. 26-year-old Ronald has already been suspended from the first two games for testing positive for a substance on the NFL’s banned substance list.

Now with Jones’ groin injury, will miss practice as well as more than two games in the NFL Season.

There was a time when Jones was the leading rusher for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during their 2020 Super Bowl season. In 2022 he traded with the Chiefs as the running back after losing his starting job.

Ronald has not contributed much to the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2022 season and requested his release midway through the season. This year Ronald Jones has a fair chance to prove himself as running back for the Cowboys.
