During the recent college football game between Louisiana Tech and UTEP, linebacker Brevin Randle made headlines due to a controversial incident. After UTEP’s Jake McNamara completed an 11-yard run, Randle intentionally stepped on the head of Miners offensive lineman Steven Hubbard.

The incident gained significant attention, prompting strong reactions from viewers. Randle’s actions, which seemed deliberate and harmful, raised concerns and overshadowed the game.

As the video circulated across various platforms, fans expressed their disapproval.

One person suggested, “That should be an immediate season suspension.”

Another said, “I hope that kid doesn’t play another down of football.”

Interestingly, game officials initially missed the stomp as it happened during the game’s intensity. UTEP coach Dana Dimel explained, “The referee, who I really admire, came over at halftime and very gentlemanly said that he missed it. That’s part of the game. He (the official) was a class act, I really appreciated that.”

Given the seriousness of the incident, there is anticipation that either Louisiana Tech or Conference USA will take disciplinary action against Randle for his unacceptable behavior, which marred what should have been an exciting college football match.
