Colorado Football Players Gets a Blunt Warning From Deion Sanders
The head coach of Colorado, Deion Sanders, who is also regarded as one of the most famous coaches in college football enjoys teaching his players football, but what he cares about more than just the game is for young players to grow into responsible men.
In a recent meeting, Sanders asked his players to think about their lives after football. He encouraged them to make plans for their future so they’re prepared for life after their playing days are over.
“I don’t think you understand that ‘It’s over’ is coming soon. Like right now… everything you need is taken care of, right? How long do y’all think that’s gonna last? It’ll be over with soon,” Sanders told his players. “What are y’all gonna do next? What’s the game plan?”
Sanders asked his players to share their plans before he continued his speech.
“I don’t like treating y’all like children. We’re trying to raise men. Right now, everything you need is taken care of. How long do y’all think that’s gonna last? When it’s over with, what’s the gameplan?”

“How you mad at me because you won’t invest in you? Darn it, I got time today,” Sanders said. “How you going to be pissed at me because I’m holding you accountable for not investing in you? Because I’m forcing you to be a man?”
This is really what being a leader is all about. That’s one heck of a speech from Sanders. Colorado will be back in action Saturday night against Stanford.
