Colorado Cyclist Magnus White Died Off-Road In Tragic Accident At 17

Boulder, Colorado Native Cyclist Magnus White died in a tragic off-road accident at the age of 17.

Magnus White rising USA cycling was training for the upcoming world championships in Scotland when he was hit by a car driven by a 23-year-old woman.

USA Cycling Association confirmed the news by releasing a heartwrenching statement on Twitter to tribute to the teenage Cyclist.

It reads, “It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the news that 17-year-old Magnus White has passed away in a training accident.”

White fell in love with cycling at an early age through Boulder Junior Cycling. He was a rising star in the off-road cycling scene and his passion for cycling was evident through his racing and camaraderie with his teammates and local community. … We offer our heartfelt condolences to the White family, his teammates, friends, and the Boulder community during this incredibly difficult time. … We ride for Magnus.

White won the 2021 Junior 17-18 Cyclocross National Championships and earned a spot on the Mountain Bike World Championships team this summer.

The GoFundMe for White’s funeral costs is already within $250 of its goal thanks to over 500 donations made in his name. At such a young age Magnus made his name across the country as a proud Boulder representative.
